Introba is hiring an experienced Principal – Office Director to lead our Mechanical/Electrical/Sustainable Design, Indianapolis Office. The ideal candidate will form a viable part of The Introba leadership team and is fully responsible and accountable for the financial performance of the office. The Principal – Office Director provides leadership, business development, technical support and management resources essential to Introba for decision-making and management accountability.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years of specific (Mechanical/Electrical, etc.) high performance building systems design and/or sustainable design experience.
- 15+ years’ experience in a technical and managerial role.
- Professional Engineer certification.
- Established in marketplace in commercial, higher education, S&T, healthcare, and/or government market sectors.
- Team player and desire to Collaborate nationally with other Introba USA offices
- Superior interpersonal skills with clients and staff.
- Active listener.
- Demonstrated financial and operations management.
- Communication and coaching skills
- Project management experience
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- LEED Accreditation (encouraged)

Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary roles and responsibilities include:
- Works with the Introba's management team to develop and manage against a strategic business plan.
- Set and control production team targets, team personnel, design and related activities.
- Responsible for financial and fiscal data and performance for the office.
- Champion of Deltek for resource management and projections.
- Attend workload meetings and oversee the workload of the office production teams.
- Uphold and maintain Introba design standards for engineering, specifications, documentation, standardization, quality assurance, cost and value analysis and the broader aspects of building design services.
- Provide support and guidance on People initiatives such as salary/compensation matters, vacation approvals, hiring, performance management, terminations, etc.
- Upholds and demonstrate the core values of the company (Trust, Nurture, Inspire) by actively creating and maintaining an inclusive and productive working environment.
Additional duties and responsibilities:
Marketing
- Establish Integral Group as a leader in sustainability and engineering in the local market by introducing and engaging key architecture, developer and owner
- Preparation and implementation of annual strategic business plan for business
- Represent Integral Group at meetings with project clients and other project stakeholders as
- Develop and maintain key client relationships.
People
- Provide the Management Team with staff performance criteria and information on all
- Authority and management of senior design team
- Meet regularly with all team members to ensure issues are identified and action plans are in
- Recommend training requirements to Human
- Provide input to Human Resources on all team employment
- Utilize leadership skills and motivation techniques to maximize employee productivity and
- Defines desired results, guidelines, resources, accountability and consequences; follows up with goal
Financial
- Develop and manage financials against annual strategic business
- Provide workload forecasting as new projects are secured and provide progress analysis regarding prospective unsecured projects (integrating efforts of the Marketing Team).
- Support project managers & PICs as necessary to ensure Deltek financial system is updated with project
- Recommend distribution of new work based on staff availability as established by the team workload
Technical
- Instill the concept of quality being the responsibility of every design team member to meet client’s requirements and expectations.
- Promote quality issues with all members and ensures that the quality control function is effectively performed.
- Keep current on new developments in innovative design; included in this is participating in seminars and/or professional associations, attend trade shows relevant to company’s
- Assure adequate field review services are provided to ensure adherence of contract
- Affect studies to determine cause, effect, and corrective actions required to remedy deviations impairing desired standards.
