You’ll be a key contributor to defining not only what we work on but why we should work on it.You’ll troubleshoot complex problems, decompose difficult challenges into manageable work.Define and apply engineering, testing, and operational excellence standards to your team and the organization
Support customers through the participation of regular on-call related duties as well as executing planned changes (change requests) to maintain the environment
Partner cross organizations to drive improvements into the supportability and maintainability of the platform(s) and system(s), reducing viscosity for customers and engineers.Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technology or scientific field OR 5 years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.4+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language, such as Python, Ruby, PowerShell, etc.6+ years of job-related experience in a non-internship role.2+ years of experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.Experience with modern full-stack software applications both built or off the shelf.Experience documenting technical systems, user workflows, and user requirements.Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)Experience with traditional IT infrastructure as well as the Cloud, preferably AWS.Experience leading the design, build, and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software/system solutions in a production environment.Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers.Knowledge of and advocation of engineer practices and patterns for the full life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and production operations
