Using short development cycles, we ship incremental updates to our customers, collect feedback and metrics and through that iteratively improve the product. We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to technically lead and contribute to design, build, test, deploy and operate features in production. This person will collaborate with a multi-functional group to deliver next generation innovations and experiences. Partner with product and engineering teams to invent and deliver on the future for Microsoft Copilot and other generative artificial intelligence (AI) products. Preferred Qualifications:3+ years of demonstrable experience in leading engineering teams. Experience with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S
is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation
