About the Job
is adding a Principal Software Engineer to the Product Development team in Woburn, MA. Our expectation at this time is you would work from our office located at 130 New Boston Street on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday with flexibility to work from home on Monday and Friday.

As a Principal Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping our technical strategy and driving the execution of our engineering initiatives. You will be responsible for complex business problems with state-of-art technology solutions, mentoring a team of talented engineers and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Your work tasks/responsibilities
- Design and develop complex software as a service (SaaS) products, implement micro-services, and high performing applications.
- Mentor a team of engineers responsible for developing and maintaining our software products and solutions.
- Execute the organization’s technical vision, strategy, and roadmap within the engineering realm.
- Champion best practices in software development, including code quality, scalability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate closely with product management, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and features on time and within budget.
- Drive the adoption of cloud-native technologies and practices, leveraging platforms such as AWS and Azure to build resilient and scalable systems.
- Promote a culture of learning and growth, providing opportunities for professional development and skill advancement for team members.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the health and effectiveness of the engineering platform and engineering organization.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on our products and engineering practices.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where diverse perspectives are valued and respected.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field with 10 years of industry experience.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a software engineering organization, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Skilled in leading efforts based on event-driven and microservices architectures that leverage modern frameworks and cloud-native technologies and platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience in modernization legacy applications into modular scalable decoupled architectures.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, preferably in languages such as .NET C#, TypeScript, NodeJS, Angular/react.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in master data management, proficiency in organizing and optimizing data in Microsoft SQL Server relational databases. Expertise in non-relational NoSQL databases.
- Proficient organizational abilities in effectively managing multiple employees, schedules, and projects concurrently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or similar frameworks.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools for automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).
- Experience working with international teams in various time-zones.
