The OpportunityRoche navify Digital Pathology group is looking for a highly motivated Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer who has an affinity to clinical diagnostic environment to build innovative solutions to the real world problems encountered during the software development and system validation/verification test cycles.This role can be based in either Santa Clara, CA or Mississauga, Canada.Responsibilities:Drive vision and innovation in system validation and verification process.Develop detailed system test strategy to drive software test coverage matching customers operating environment.Collaborate with a global SQA test engineers and test Automation Engineers.Review and co-create test plan and work with QA Manager on test strategy for all projects, determining scope, schedule and sequence of test activitiesImplement and maintain a dashboard for customer facing field issue relevant to system test coverage.Improve test plan, test efficiency, security test coverage, and reliability.Participate in code reviews and give genuine feedback.Work with cross-functional teams to develop and validate SW test methods and tools required for automation.Analyzes and review test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.Who You AreBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Engineering or in an equivalent discipline8+ years of experience with developing manual test and test automation frameworkAbility to manage multiple projects with changing prioritiesAn affinity for problem solving, and the ability to understand complex relationships between product functionality and requirementsProficiency in different software test automation languages and operating systems environmentsStrong communication and organizational skillsExperience working in a Scale Agile Framework in development organizationProficiency with different software test automation languages and operating systems environments such as GitHub and JIRAExperience with Python TypeScript, Playwright and Selenium WebDriver is a plusExperience working with a FDA cleared medical device is a plusExperience working with Software as a Medical Device is a plusProficiency with Java + JavaScript is a huge plusTraveling up to 10%The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $115,800 - $210,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
