Responsibilities:Project Overview:
REI is looking for an Principal Appian Consultant to design and implement industry-focused, integrated solutions leveraging the entire Appian Technology Platform of solutions. As an Appian Consultant/Developer, you will be a key leader for the business of consulting as well as the business of our clients. REI’s growth trajectory ensures that Appian Consultant/Developers, will immediately impact customer interaction and team development, working closely with our clients and REI core members. Not only do REI Appian Consultant/Developers become experts at building process applications on the Appian software, they also become business process experts in the various client industries they work.
Position Overview:
Typically oversee aspects of the project, leading a team to analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve technology, methodology, tools, and solution components. Provide applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for requirements definition, systems development, and systems maintenance. Can ensure required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation be produced. Provide technical direction to programmers and business analysts to ensure program deadlines are met. Experience in information system design, including application programming on large- scale DBMS and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.
Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with all aspects of the Appian technology platform
- Experience with JBoss or IIS Web Server preferred
- Experience in developing/implementing, testing and deployment in Appian environments
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments
- Programming skills using high-level languages Java (J2EE, JNDI, JDBC, JMS, Web Services), HTML, XML, XSL, JavaScript, SQL
- Expert at generalizing and coding process rules; identifies and designs repeating people-oriented process-based patterns (for re-use in process applications)
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work with key client stakeholders to define business processes and gather techno-functional system requirements
- Demonstrated past success in cross-functional roles with complete lifecycle implementations
Educational Qualifications:
BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
Clearance: Eligible to obtain a public trust clearance.
Location: Hybrid (One day per week or as needed in the REI Sterling Office)
