Our goal is to create an environment where we all win with precision. Job DescriptionYour CareerAs a Principal Software UI/Frontend Engineer of the Netsec Visualization and Reporting team, you will collaborate with the product managers, UX designers, and UI engineers to design and deliver the most innovative solution that generates insights into our customers’ network security infrastructure and empowers the security administrators to do their best work. You will lead engineering best practices, coach and mentor team members, architect, design, and implement application features, introduce new tools and libraries; and help solve the most challenging technical problems within the engineering UI team.Your ImpactPassionate in building highly graphical and scalable web application features that give customers insights into their firewalls and provide actionable solution suggestionsWork on complex problems that require in-depth evaluation of the requirements and apply engineering techniques to obtain quality resultsIdentify problems and opportunities, propose and develop simple and attainable solutions to improve the team’s development process and product qualityBe the role model in establishing and implementing engineering best practices, including test-driven developmentDrive collaborative discussion and create synergy among product feature stakeholders to create an amazing productQualificationsYour ExperienceBS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent military experience requiredMinimum 8 years of related programming experience requiredExpertise in building web-based GUI development with excellent ReactJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript programming skillsExperienced in modern web frameworks and build tools such as React, Redux, Hooks, Webpack, Storybook, and npm/yarnExperience with CSS/SCSS, AG Grid, and visualization libraries such as Highcharts, D3.jsExperience with creating responsive web applicationsAbility to work well with a group of senior and junior engineers in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentExperience with UI test frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, react-testing-library, MochaExperience with client-side modern build tools, and CI/CDExperience with Git Version Control and Linux environmentsAdditional InformationThe TeamThe NetSec UI team is responsible for delivering UI solutions to our customers at Palo Alto Networks. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $147000 - $237500/YR.
