BDR is seeking a Print Production Manager to join our growing team! This position will be performed virtually from the individual's home office working on EST time schedule. This position requires US Citizenship with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

Role Overview
BDR is looking for a highly experienced Print Production Manager (Task 1) that possesses direct NRC Printing Program Operation Services expertise. This includes triaging and managing various NRC electronic file formats and working with NRC's Commission Offices, SECY, program office, and graphics design team. The role requires familiarity with NRC's printing operating processes, procedures, and equipment, including NRC's safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ability to triage and manage various electronic file formats submitted by the client's Commission Offices, program offices, and/or graphic design team, for reproduction within the printing program
- Ability to interface with graphic designers to resolve technical and file format issues
- Knowledge of duplicating/copying in both black and full color
- Ability to operate a wide range of bindery equipment identified above
- Ability to clean and maintain equipment and work area, and update maintenance logs
- Ability to identify equipment problems that should be immediately brought to the attention of the COR
- Ability to safeguard the Government's records at all times
- Knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment, and use of chemicals consistent with guidance in client-provided documents
- Ability to manage ever-changing and competing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to document actions by completing production and quality logs as required
- Expert knowledge of Xerox FreeFlow system or Fiery Workflow Suite, including the ability to scan stored documents for future Print-on-Demand reprints
- Ability to maintain archival files of client documents onto Magneto Optical Disks (MOD) or external hard drives for the purpose of Print-on-Demand and long-term document storage
- Ability to physically move objects weighing up to 70 pounds and to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Knowledge of available features of the client-furnished equipment and electronic data submission, to provide quality work that shall be equal to or better than the original copy furnished by the requestor, ensuring that all lines, smudges, dirt marks, or anything not part of the original copy is removed.
- Ability to manage all incoming printing and reproduction requests
- Work closely with the client COR and ADM personnel to triage all requests
- Host periodic meetings with the client COR and team lead to provide a status of requests
- Ability to successfully communicate orally and in writing
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating the full range of equipment listed above
- Extensive knowledge of printing composition technology and the ability to interpret printing standards and regulations.
- Experience in managing publications, printing contracts, and document production.
- Familiarity with federal regulations such as Title 44 USC, Government Printing and Binding Regulations, and NRC Management Directives.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills to oversee publishing office activities.
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding quality control and safety standards.
- Ability to handle sensitive or classified materials with discretion and follow all related security protocols.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with press operators and internal stakeholders.
