Standard Hours – 100% in office role. Monday-Sunday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

A day in the role…

• Work as a member of the Advanced Tasking Team. This can include but is not limited to:
  • Consult Orders (Specialist Office Visits)
  • Procedure Orders (Ex: MRI/CTs, Radiology, DME, Mammogram, etc.)
  • Prescription Authorization (Ex: High Cost Specialty Medications)
  • Provider Support Room (Ex: Clinically Urgent Tasks for IOPs/VMT Providers.
  • Assisting a patient through the authorization, scheduling and coordination of complex female health procedures. (Ex. Colposcopy)
  • Processing Referrals and Authorizations
• Maintaining service level agreements in complex insurance authorizations
• This is an administrative and customer service role where you will speak with patients, insurance providers, and internal parties.

Referral Coordinator | Prior Authorizations | Medical Scheduling Appointments | Call Center | Medical Record | Patient Registration | Patient Access | Medical Terminology | Medical Claim | Insurance Verification | EOB

Core Experience:

• Referral Specialist
• Prior Authorization
• 2 years of experience completing referrals and navigating complex insurance portals and highly complex orders in the last 5 years
• Working in a national healthcare organization that understands the complexities of different regions.
• Experience with working with different EMRs
