Privacy Governance and Technology Transactions Attorney - Direct Counsel, LLC

Direct Counsel has partnered with a premier, globally recognized law firm in their search for a Privacy Governance and Technology Transactions Attorney to join their Digital Assets and Data Management (DADM) group. As a member of the DADM Group’s Privacy Governance and Technology Transactions Team, the candidate will join a national team that counsels clients on how to reduce or eliminate risk through rigorous review of policies that may pose privacy and security risks. The associate will have an opportunity to work on a wide range of privacy compliance matters with an emphasis on U.S. state privacy law compliance, including CCPA and other state privacy law readiness, drafting privacy notices, advising on cookie and website compliance, counseling on compliant data use initiatives, and supporting DPA reviews and negotiations. Experience with global privacy laws and health privacy laws is preferred, but not required.

Requirements

• Law firm or in-house experience providing proactive privacy compliance advice on CCPA and other state privacy laws
• GDPR and HIPAA experience is preferred
• AM Law 100 experience
• Strong academic record, earning a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited school
• Must be admitted to practice law in CA
