This is a Job Description for a Private Awards Manager in Madison, Mississippi
Summary: The Private Awards Manager is responsible for managing the activities and personnel for a team of Private Award Specialists. They will supervise Private Award Specialists in performing specialized accounting services as well as providing accounting services themselves. Generally responsible for the management, maintenance and reporting of financial data and/or the monitoring of management controls and processes to ensure compliance with TNC policies and procedures, relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, and financial/management best practice. They will liaise with BU Finance Leadership, share knowledge with other members of PACE and will supervise and monitor workloads for their team. They act as a Subject Matter Expert on Private Awards.
Duties & Responsibilities: Acts independently and exercises independent judgment to identify and solve complex problems. Manages functional activity towards program's strategic goals. Works toward meeting the strategic priorities of the program by developing and coordinating tactics for approved plans, completing and/or overseeing day-to-day tasks. Ensures the programmatic work is collaborative and well-integrated across organization. Manage multiple projects, directing work of staff, managing budget, setting deadlines, and ensuring accountability. Supervise one or more professional staff. Ensures programmatic commitments, TNC policies and procedures, financial standards and legal requirements are met and managed for compliance. Reinforces consistency in the organization's policies and procedures. Reports to leadership on activities. Works collaboratively with BU Finance Leadership and towards building effective relationships.
Requirements

: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration and 5 years' related experience or equivalent combination. Experience with GAAP, IFRS and fund accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Experience with financial interpretation and analysis. Technical experience with spreadsheet programs, general ledger reports and financial management tools. Experience working with teams across organization. Experience recruiting, supervising, and developing staff. Professional proficiency/fluency in English (written and oral).
