Private Duty Care Director - Athena Health Care Systems

We are hiring a Manager of Athena Care at Home, an agency providing non-medical home care, based in Farmington, Connecticut!

As the manager, you oversee the agency's operations including the direction of services, establishing and growing referral relationships, and recruiting and onboarding new hires.

Experience & Education:

• Experience in non-medical, homemakers, and companion services required.
• Knowledge of Department of Consumer Protection state regulations and guidelines.
• Experience in business development/marketing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between referral accounts/the community and Care at Home to identify and develop new potential referral sources.
• Maximize census through effective marketing, sales calls, and public relations.
• Develop and maintain a monthly and daily marketing plan and service accounts in accordance with those plans.
• Create and distribute marketing and promotional collateral materials.
• Schedule and conduct meetings for prospective families and applicants.
• Oversite of new hire orientation and in-service training program for the staff.

Specific Requirements:

• Must be willing to travel, have an insured automobile, and hold a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, clients, family members, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult clients and family members.
