Position Summary:
Fahrenheit Advisors is expanding and seeking experienced HR Consultants with a strong background in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), particularly in Private Equity (PE) environments. We offer flexible, hourly consulting opportunities—both short-term and long-term engagements—ideal for professionals looking to supplement their existing work. If you have a minimum of 10 years of HR experience and expertise in due diligence and post-acquisition integrations, we invite you to collaborate with us on impactful client projects that align with your availability, up to 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
As an HR Consultant specializing in M&A, your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Strategic HR Consulting:
- Partner with client leadership and cross-functional teams to craft and execute HR strategies that encompass due diligence, pre- and post-merger planning, and M&A roll-up initiatives.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence to identify HR-related risks and opportunities in M&A scenarios.
- Design and implement HR integration plans that facilitate seamless business transitions, including cultural alignment, policy harmonization, and organizational restructuring.
- M&A Roll-Up Support:
- Advise on best practices for efficient and effective roll-up strategies, including the integration of payroll, benefits, HRIS, compensation, and other HR functions.
- Provide expert guidance on change management to help clients navigate organizational change with minimal disruption.
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure smooth transitions and maintain workforce productivity.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as a trusted advisor, building and maintaining strong client relationships across all HR-related matters.
- Identify opportunities for expanding client services and provide consultative advice on talent management, compensation, benefits integration, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure client compliance with state and federal employment laws, including those related to leave, labor laws, payroll, taxes, benefits, vendor contracts, and HR systems.
- Interim HR Support:
- Act as fractional or interim HR support, conducting assessments, coordinating recruitment processes, and facilitating onboarding, orientation, and performance management.
- Assist in the development and revision of HR policies, including annual updates to the Employee Handbook, and support various HR functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience and demonstrated success in Human Resources Management, with a focus on M&A transactions, including due diligence and post-merger integration.
- Proficiency in HR technology platforms and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to client-specific systems.
- Strong understanding of recruitment strategies, HR principles, employment laws, and best practices.
- Ability to identify HR consulting opportunities, expand service offerings, and provide strategic advice to diverse clients.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, with the ability to build trust with stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to craft executive-level reports.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and administrative abilities.
- Willingness to travel and go on-site as required for client engagements. We prefer candidates located near major airport hubs to facilitate travel for client engagements as needed.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification is preferred.
