About the Job
Purpose:
The Behavioral Health Technician will support and complement client's recovery and ongoing treatment goals. You will report to the Nursing Director.
Job Summary:
To provide direct support to clients in an integrated behavioral health program located in a community mental health center.
Essential Functions:
- Manage data entry, tracking, and scheduling to support disease management and a stepped care approach
- Obtain and record client vital signs and report client history summary
- Participate and support the Behavioral Health Home care model and work with providers to monitor health and follow-up of clients
- Provide case management support to clients for wellness services and basic needs
- Dispense medications and maintain Medication Administration Records
- Refer internally for case management support for wellness services and basic needs
- Outreaches to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and other healthcare providers
- Obtain and verify client financial and demographic information and ensure client data is entered into the electronic health record

Education/Experience/License/Certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred
- Two (2) years experience
- Must maintain an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CNA) or have current QMAP certification required. If not QMAP certified, training will be required within 60 days upon hire.
- Experience in direct client care in a behavioral health, hospital, medical office, residential treatment center, homeless shelter, or other community agency setting
