Position: PRN Occupational Therapist
Pay: Competitive rate of $65/hour

Responsibilities and Duties
As a Right at Home Occupational Therapist, you'll help clients enhance their daily living skills through:
- Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of clients’ physical abilities and needs.
- Follow Established Care Plans: Implement and adhere to established care plans to ensure consistent and effective therapy.
- Therapeutic Activities: Implement targeted therapeutic activities to improve clients' abilities in areas like dressing, grooming, cooking, and other daily tasks.
- Home Modifications: Recommend modifications to the home environment to enhance safety and accessibility, such as installing grab bars or rearranging furniture.
- Client Education: Educate clients and their families about strategies to manage conditions and improve function, including techniques for energy conservation and adaptive equipment use.
- Monitoring Progress: Assess client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure goals are being met.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and any modifications to care.
- Advocacy: Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system and help them access resources or community services.
- Support and Motivation: Provide emotional support and motivation to clients to encourage participation in therapy and foster a positive outlook on their progress.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Licensure: Current Alabama OT license.
- Experience: In-home occupational therapy experience preferred.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.
