PRN Occupational Therapist - Eden Senior Care

Yeadon Rehabilitation Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled PRN Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide quality occupational therapy services to our residents, ensuring optimal care in accordance with professional standards, therapy department procedures, and productivity guidelines. You will be responsible for conducting resident evaluations, developing treatment plans, and overseeing the implementation of therapy interventions aimed at improving residents' abilities in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).

Position: PRN Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to residents in accordance with established standards of practice.
• Evaluate residents to collect data necessary for creating and implementing treatment plans.
• Conduct specialized evaluations when necessary and refer residents for further services as appropriate.
• Supervise and guide Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in carrying out treatment plans.
• Implement interventions to enhance safety and performance in ADLs and IADLs.
• Recommend and train residents in the use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate family members and caregivers to support the therapy process.
• Monitor, observe, and document progress toward both short- and long-term treatment goals.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an occupational therapist, with a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using ADL evaluation tools, such as the Katz ADL scale and Lawton IADL scale.
• Current, valid occupational therapy license.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
