Position Summary:
The Pro Field Marketing Representative (PFM) - Home Centers is responsible for the sale of the complete line of Gibraltar Building Accessories Division (GBAD) products within the home center retail space. As a PFM, you will act as a liaison between GBAD and our retail clients, focusing on building successful relationships and closing new business.
In this role, you will work across the full retail customer landscape including regional pro sales managers, store managers, outside sales teams, store associates and contractors. To achieve success, the candidate will be able to facilitate sales by educating retail partners and customers on all GBAD Products. This training ranges from large format training sessions to impromptu aisle training opportunities.
This position is remote based and will be responsible for managing to and through assigned retail centers in a geographical territory, Dallas/Fort Worth/Greater Dallas TX. Specific geographic territories are determined by the Retail Marketing Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accountable for YOY quote to order growth metrics in quoting to order conversion activity in Quote Center and Special-Order Programs as created for the specific territory.
- Grow sales and selection of GBAD sold through assigned Home Centers to include those sold in the aisle, at the pro-desk and via the quote center.
- Develop weekly and monthly schedules for visiting stores, trainings, events, and job site visits to ensure the GBAD brand is top of mind and represented in stores and out in the field.
- Build awareness and understanding of Gibraltar products by proactively engaging and educating users and distributors through meetings and events. Schedule field events, create opportunities for lunch and learns and hold virtual PKs.
- Utilize HubSpot (CRM) as the main source of customer content management and call reporting.
- Collaborate with internal retail teams to achieve Gibraltar sales growth initiatives.
- Understand market trends and competitive offerings to identify new business opportunities in the home center space.
- Gain an in-depth knowledge of the top-performing stores, SKUs, standout performers in your region, and stay well-informed about growth potential and focus areas for new business opportunities within the organization.
- Identify lucrative opportunities within the retail markets, both in-store and in the field.
- Participates in local Home Center events as key Gibraltar Pro Team contact
- Forge enduring relationships and meet client requests and deadlines consistently.
- Partner with marketing to research and understand what sales tools and resources Pro sales reps need to "sell the job".
- Complete sales reports as assigned (achievements, setbacks, insights, competitive landscapes, and countermeasures).
- Provide verbal and written feedback on customer needs, problems, competitive activities and strategies, and potential for new products and services.
- Take ownership of the sales pipeline, nurturing and converting potential leads into successful closures by showcasing the value of GBAD products. Overcome objections and turn obstacles into growth prospects with effective negotiation skills.
- Ensure your presence is felt at customer shows, conventions, and other industry events.
- Utilize diplomacy and your exceptional ability to establish immediate rapport with anyone to secure successful agreements.
- Effectiveness in this position will be demonstrated by increasing Gibraltar sales by positively growing store and market point-of-sale (POS) and extending the reach of GBAD into new opportunities.
- This individual will identify strategies for both long-term and incremental sales growth.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in sales, marketing or business with at least 2 year's experience in outside sales or a combination of education and experience.
- Sales experience in the building material or home center industry is preferred.
- Multi-channel experience selling roofing materials to distributors, contractors, lumber dealers, two step, architects, property homeowners, retail & Co-Ops is ideal.
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle report is required.
Competencies/ Technical Skills:
- Technical and professional knowledge of the roofing industry.
- Strong understanding of Home Center (Home Depot & Lowes) ordering tools and systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be highly motivated, energetic and able to present well to large groups.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to drive a vehicle and travel, such as air travel.
- Ability to frequently work in a stationary position for long periods of time; ability to frequently move about to accomplish tasks and to move from one work area to another.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions including high/low temperatures, dust, humidity, etc.
- Ability to frequently and quickly converse with and convey information to others on the phone and in-person.
- Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment and keyboards, perform data entry, filing, application demos, and site inspections.
- Ability to position self to bend, pull, and reach overhead and/or below shoulder level to perform filing duties, booth setup, application demos, etc.
- Ability to work with heights; ascend/descend ladders and stairs.
- Ability to position self to move safely over even and uneven surface's ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally (booth, sample boxes, products, etc.)
