Procedure Precert/Scheduler - COMPREHENSIVE PAIN MANAGEMENT

Job Summary: Maintains surgical schedules to accommodate MD wishes and patient needs. Coordinates with Client Service Representatives/Medical Assistants, surgical facilities/ to make sure patients are facilitated through the organization from scheduling to appropriate procedure site. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scheduling procedures.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of procedure request and data.
• Confirm/Update proper patient financial documentation for billing purposes.
• Work with appropriate departments on denied or pending explanations of benefits
• Verify benefits and pre-authorizations from various sources.
• Appropriate documentation of notations in clinical record, logs, practice management systems
• Speak with Patients regarding schedule, benefits, out of pocket expenses, etc.
• Outgoing referrals for MRI, CT etc.
• Outgoing referrals to providers, PT, etc.
• New patient referral/scheduling

Minimum Experience, Education, and Licensure:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Some experience as a scheduler, preferably in a medical or physician office
• Some experience with benefit verification
• Some experience with worker compensation  processes
