Process Assurance is commonly identified as the team in charge of ensuring adherence to ARP4754A guidelines. At BETA Technologies, there are multiple development programs with several systems and different levels of complexity, and consequently the activities required from the Process Assurance team go above and beyond ARP4754A.
The Process Assurance Specialist will work closely with Subject Matter Experts and System Engineering leads for various systems, Certification Engineers, Configuration Management Experts and Safety Engineers to ensure that all aspects of the development and certification of the BETA Technologies, Inc, programs are maintained and followed.
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
- By assuring that the necessary plans are developed and maintained for all aspects of aircraft/vehicle or ground station, system/subsystem and component development.
- By assuring that development processes comply with the approved plans and standards.
- By assuring that the Life Cycle Data produced complies with the approved plans and standards.
- By recommending changes and open non-compliance issues.
- By intervening or stopping the formal process if findings detected during Process Assurance activities were not resolved.
Minimum Qualifications we are seeking:
- B.S. in Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in an aerospace systems development lifecycle.
- Expertise in mentoring application of SAE ARP4754 guidelines.
- Previous experience interacting with FAA representatives.
- Experience in performing audits as per SAE ARP4754 guidelines.
- Familiarity with FAA Part 33, 27, 25, 23 or EVTOL regulations.
- Previous experience interacting with FAA representatives.
- Excellent report writing skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:
- Enthusiasm for Electric Aviation and Aviation Safety.
- Cognizance of SAE ARP4761.
- Experience in RTCA DO-178C or RTCA DO-254.
- Experience with requirements management tools (Polarion, DOORS, etc.).
- High energy, self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented.
- Interested in Cyber-Security, Safety Management Systems.
