SUMMARY: Responsible for providing the leadership, vision, direction and resources in order to effectively manage the mill’s process control systems. Supports all aspects of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Manage, direct, develop and supervise activities and initiatives to provide a safe work environment through the proper use of equipment, identification of hazards, sharing of knowledge and the development, implementation and enforcement of safety and housekeeping standards.
· Direct, coordinate, and ensure standardization of practices with other properties within PaperWorks.
· Develop and monitor strategic operating goals, and objectives.
· Researches new technologies available to improve the process control systems
· Manages and directs the activities and responsibilities of all direct reports
· Drives a learning culture in all areas of direct responsibility.
· Aid vendors in completing installation of equipment and software for process control systems
Manage and administer all software and hardware associated with process control systems
· Design, program, implement and back-up software for process control systems
· Manage and maintain records of system changes performed
· Train operators as necessary on process control systems
· Maintain a database listing of all maintenance performed and parts used
· Manage inventory of all onsite repair parts for process control systems
· Perform any emergency maintenance on any process control systems
· Aid in administration of servers
· Provide mill PC’s with the necessary software to view process control systems
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant General Manager

Qualifications:REQUIREMENTS
· High School or GED, BSBA or comparable degree preferred with minimum of 7 years’ experience.
· Experience training employees in network, PLC, and drive systems.
· Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA and NEMA electrical safety standards.
· Ability to design and implement consistent industrial control strategy.
Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
· Able to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- Process control engineer – manages DCS, scanner systems, camera systems, electronic/computer specifics, PLCs
- $80k to $90k annual salary
- Typical Work schedule
- Dayshift
- Off shift call-in as needed
- Pulp and paper nice, but not necessary
- Open to Nationwide search- relocation assistance provided. This is NOT a remote role.
