Process Engineer in CNC Machining---Full-Time Direct Hire

Akkodis, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer for a full-time direct role with a growing aerospace leader. The role is located near Akron. The Process Engineer will develop, improve, and support all production processes associated with the launch, manufacture, and test of products. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor degree and 4+ years of experience in CNC programming and Process Engineering, or candidates with 10+ years of no degree will also be considered.

Salary Range: $80-100K depending on level of experience

Process Engineer Job Responsibilities Include :

• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing processes while maintaining compliance to design specifications.

• Programming of equipment, creation of CNC code, and tool path simulation.

• Troubleshoot and solve manufacturing problems in a machining environment.

• Workflow / cell design with a focus on waste reduction and process improvement.

• Analysis of manufacturing variances to help identify key areas in need of improvement.

• Primary contact for design engineering or program management on manufacturing processes.

• Creates and maintains manufacturing methods, Bill of Materials, and labor standards in ERP system.

• Participates in activities related to C.I. and cost reductions/process improvements.

• Design, construction, and validation of tooling, fixtures, gages, and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree and 4+ years manufacturing engineering experience OR 10+years of manufacturing engineering experience, including CNC programming skills.

• Minimum 4 years CAD and CAM software experience required. Mastercam and AutoCAD Inventor preferred.

• Ability to interpret 2D blueprints and 3D models. Working knowledge of GD&T.

• Hands on troubleshooting & problem solving including statistical analysis.

• Knowledge of both manual and CNC machining equipment.

• Ability to implement change and train employees in a production floor environment.
