POSITION SUMMARY:
This position plans, directs, and leads assigned departments to include, but not limited to, the facilities and maintenance services, and engineering. For the beginning of this position, you will play an integral part in setting up an additional factory and getting things to run smoothly.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Determine and document new methods, processes and procedures.
- Monitor key metrics to detect out of standard trends and results.
- Plans and collaborates the work of the highly skilled staff, placing particular emphasis on operations uptime and project management methods.
- In a cross-function environment, you will lead and direct staff to accomplish goals efficiently. Responsible for the recruitment, evaluation, and development of staff in assigned departments.
- Works collaboratively with the C.E.O., and all levels of management to establish and reach short and long-range operating goals.
- Supports and directs lean practices throughout the facility.
- New Manufacturing Site as well as collaborating with Director of IT and the new warehouse in North Carolina, in a cross functional environment.
- Travel up to 3 weeks a month.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Automation and new methods in the process to implement in a new manufacturing site.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering; master's degree in a related field a plus.
- Five years of experience in increasingly complex, technical supervisory positions.
- Proven experience in capital project management.
- Excellent verbal, written, technical, conceptual, and financial skills.
- Ability to travel regularly.
- Strong Project Management Skills in a collaborative manner.
- Understands management of manufacturing maintenance operations.
- Familiar with Lean manufacturing methods.
- Good understanding of planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge of CAD, CAE and CAM engineering tools and Great Plains is required.
