Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Plant Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemical engineering and a passion for optimizing production processes. This role involves providing technical oversight, supporting day-to-day operations, and driving improvements in safety, productivity, and overall efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemical engineering and a passion for optimizing production processes. This role involves providing technical oversight, supporting day-to-day operations, and driving improvements in safety, productivity, and overall efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and understand the operating processes and technologies within the assigned production area.
- Provide technical oversight and support for daily operations.
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and solve problems effectively.
- Work with Operations to enhance safety, yield, productivity, and equipment uptime.
- Identify and implement solutions for manufacturing issues related to technology.
- Assist in training operators to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) practices, including Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Management of Change.
- Keep up to date with technology information relevant to the manufacturing area.
- Update process P&IDs and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Collaborate with EHS&S, and the Maintenance department to ensure compliance and enhance operational efficiency.
- Participate in and support activities related to small capital projects, including commissioning, decommissioning, start-up, and shutdown procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years Engineering experience, including internships.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with experimental design and statistical data analysis.
- Basic knowledge of chemistry principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and support others effectively.
