About the Job
Responsibilities:
As a Process Engineer, you will be required to:
- Complete process improvement documents and projects in correlation with the 3PL project in association with the logistics team, while following all applicable company and U.S Government regulations, policies, and procedures. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of 3PL project including inventory management, training programs, shipping, and handling of customer materials.
- Meet daily with customer's support staff for projects, and document and drive completion of projects to reduce lead-times, cost, waste, etc.
- Collaborate with customer on improvement exercises when deficiencies occur in Supplier`s off site warehouse processes. Track metrics and create methods to collect data to present to executive leadership and customer. Complete KPI's and track implementation of logistics contract.
- Author standardized work and detailed work instructions and drive process improvements.
- Assist with DIVE's and other CAR investigations as needed.
- Work overtime when necessary to meet customer needs.
- Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar discipline is preferred. Experience in process improvement, quality, or auditor will also be taken into consideration.
- Previous job history with a recommended history with aviation, quality management system, logistics, warehouse management or a related field.
- High school education is required and post high school trades training preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Strong Statistics and Analytical skills
- Experience in using DMAIC, DFSS, CAP, LEAN, Six Sigma, or other tools and methodologies to identify process gaps and lead change.
- Ability to understand the big picture and drill down into details for process improvement.
- Good English communication skills (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in cross functional team environment.
- Ability to read and write English, interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions and procedures in manuals.
- Ability to calculate time and ratios associated with chemical concentration, strengths, and volume.
- Appropriate PPE is mandatory and to be worn while working in the Clean Line area.
- All applicants must be self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
- Criminal background check & compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

- Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
