Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our Pharmachem Labs LLC Ashland business at our Kearny, NJ location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the manufacturing function. This position will report to the plant manager.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Determines root cause of chronic operating problems. Recommends and assists in implementing solutions.
- Analyzes production data and quality data to determine optimum operating conditions.
- Work with R&D and plant operations to improve and scale-up new products
- Provides technical support for capital projects including investigating new equipment.
- Process design to support plant expansions
- Investigates alternate raw materials for cost and quality improvements.
- Investigates opportunities to improve plant through-put and capacity.
- Responsible for supporting EHS and implementing zero incident culture.
- Understand and perform all quality and food safety responsibilities in compliance with Ashland and FSSC22000 requirements.
- Ability to work across diverse functional teams within the organization.
- Provide technical support to customers and distributors
- Help implement the Ashland production systems
- Provide technical support in transfer and scale up of batches.
- Maximize plant reliability
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 5-7 year of chemical manufacturing experience
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
