About Us:
On-Board Engineering Corp. is seeking to grow its team in Baton Rouge, LA. You will join our newest branch of On-Board's Reputable Corporate Office Team, with its Headquarters in New Castle, DE.
Position Overview:
Position Type: Full-Time
Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Compensation: $56 - $70/hr based upon qualificationsDrug and background screenings required
Responsibilities:
Dual operational and business development role.
Business Development:
- Identify new potential clients.
- Develop and grow client base for regional satellite office.
- Present company capabilities and history to potential clients.
- Ability to balance Client responsibilities with project and design responsibilities.
- Organized and capable of managing/supporting numerous concurrent projects.
- Monitors project status and pursues corrective action, as required.
- Provides regular project updates to stakeholders.
- Preparing process design packages for proposed changes and projects.
- Develop design documents, including sizing and specification of process equipment and materials.
- Develop process description, sequence of operations, and conceptual control strategies.
- Identify and develop process improvement ideas and create initial work scope for future projects.
- Develop process knowledge for multiple processes and establish credibility by applying past knowledge or experience.
- Provide process engineering support for capital and expense projects managed by other engineers.
- Frequently demonstrate highly technical and professional competencies on medium to high-profile projects..
- Participate in project commissioning activities and provide technical support to meet project goals.
- Comfortable with travel to current and prospective client sites as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- P.E. strongly preferred but not required.
- TWIC Card required.
- Demonstrated success in being a key contributor on small to medium sized capital projects.
- 5+ years of related experience in engineering design.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals.
- Fluent at reading and interpreting P&ID’s and Isometric drawings
- Working knowledge of PLC and DCS control systems preferred.
- Motivated and results-oriented individual.
- Hands-on doer. A participative engineering style and self-starter.
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
