About the Job
As a Process Engineer, you continuously improve overall performance of our Injection Molding Department, with a focus on preform production. You play a critical role in Garlands achievement of plant targets, including operational excellence and product quality.
You Will
- Conduct detailed data analysis to determine root cause of product defects and machine failures to develop corrective actions and implement process changes.
- Establish new preform and mold qualifications, as well as monitor mold cavitation to identify and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Identify and propose process improvements for reductions in energy consumption.
- Contribute to ISO standards adherence within the Conversion department by developing and delivering training.

- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
You Have
- A Bachelors degree in plastics technology, electrical, electronics, electro-mechanical or another related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of process improvement tools and methodologies, such as Kaizen, 5S, statistical analysis methodologies
- Prior experience documenting work processes.
- The ability to work in confined spaces, at heights of 15 to 20, as well as to lift 40 lbs. continuously and 70 lbs. with assistance.
- Flexibility to work in a 24/7 operation
