Overview:- The Process Engineer (water/wastewater) is responsible for the process design and analysis of an assigned scope of work in a CB&I project including specific complex deliverables such as conceptual process design, process simulations, heat and material balances, P&ID and PFD development. Work includes, among other things, conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, layouts, design calculations and equipment and material specification. Is able to effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineers. Mentors junior Process Engineers and depending on size and complexity of scope of work may be assigned as the Process Engineering Lead for a project. Maintains and promotes a focus on CB&I's end- product whether engineering, fabrication, or construction. Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines. Contributes to effective management of change. Assumes responsibility for quality, cost, schedule, quantity, and budget control. The role reports to an Engineering Manager and routinely interacts with other Process Engineers and Designers, other Discipline Engineers (Civil, Piping, Electrical, I&C, etc.), Project Engineers and Project Managers, Procurement, and suppliers.

- Accurately produce assigned deliverables per applicable design code, company standards, and customer drawings and specifications
- Adhere to regulations and bylaws of local professional engineering jurisdictions and code of ethics in the protection of the public and the environment.
- Ensure designs and details are safe for field erection and use, with constructability in mind.
- Reliably check and sign off on design calculations, specifications, and other deliverables for customer approval or project use per applicable design code, company standards, and customer drawings and specifications
- Compare designs and details to as-sold estimates and customer documents and advise the project team of discrepancies.
- Coordinate with other roles and functions on the project team.
- Forecast how long it will take to do a task – commit to definitive deadlines.
- Run programs to produce design calculations in designated software.
Process Engineer (Water Wastewater Process Engineer)

Overview
The Wastewater/Process Engineer is responsible for the process design and analysis of systems associated with municipal wastewater treatment and low-temperature and cryogenic (LT&C) systems. The Wastewater/Process Engineer will support all phases (engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction) of anaerobic Egg-Shaped Digester (ESD) and LT&C projects. Specific deliverables include conceptual process designs, process simulations, heat and material balances, PFDs, and P&IDs. Work includes, among other things, conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, layouts, design calculations, and equipment and material specifications. The role reports to an Engineering Manager and routinely interacts with other Process Engineers and Designers, other Discipline Engineers (Civil, Piping, Electrical, I&C, etc.), Project Engineers and Project Managers, Procurement, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Prepare the process design of piping systems, heat exchangers, and related components. This includes process modeling/simulations and hydraulic designs.
- Prepare technical reports, preliminary and detailed design documents, equipment specifications, material requisitions, and engineering calculations.
- Conduct quality checks of documents and reports to verify the accuracy of data, information, and calculations.
- Accurately produce assigned deliverables per applicable design codes, company standards, and customer drawings and specifications.
- Check and sign off on design calculations, specifications, and other deliverables for customer approval or project use.
- Conduct startup and commissioning activities including operator training.
- Occasional travel, client meetings, and field visits may be required.
- Adhere to regulations and bylaws of local professional engineering jurisdictions and code of ethics in the protection of the public and the environment.

Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited school is required.
- An understanding of municipal wastewater treatment, anaerobic digestion, and associated processes is preferred.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in at least one state or EIT with the ability to obtain a P.E. license is preferred.
