Process Engineering Intern - Shimizu North America

Internship Responsibilities

Process Engineering

• Learn how to read P&IDs.
• Learn the process of Equipment Layout, the Equipment List, and type of equipment
• Instrument List and instrumentation.
• Performing Pump Hydraulic Calculations and Heat Transfer Calculations
• Learning specifications, codes, and regulations
• Working on document control
• Analyzing various drawings to gain a better understanding of the project

Project Execution

• Participating in the implementation of the Project Schedule
• Determining and analyzing Cost Control (Project Budget).
• Participating in procurement of equipment
• Attending a site visit to see the details of the project in person.
• Creating a presentation at the end of the program to show upper management everything you have accomplished.

Experience Requirements

• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Procore ideal.
• Has an interest in working in the construction industry; specifically industrial construction

Education Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
