Dematic is now hiring for a Process Excellence Lead role. This role can be located at our NA HQ in Grand Rapids, MI. This role will align our customer improvement efforts and strategies of KION across the R&D functions globally. We seek a highly motivated individual to partner with stakeholders and owners. This role will support a LEAN culture and drive lean principles and tools, black belt certification required.
Aligns the focus of continuous improvement efforts with the objectives and strategies of KION across Research and Development globally.
Create change management and leader standards in support of a lean transformation.
Trusted resource to the Business Process Stakeholders and Owners.
Provide Six Sigma project (coaching) to project team members, Green Belts and Champions (using Lean Six Sigma methodologies)
Completes complex projects and performs project organization, definition, planning, implementation and control
Training in Lean / Agile Methodologies
Builds teams across functional areas, diverse cultures, and teaches them the tools and practices to solve complex problems
Develops and builds relationships with decision makers to propagate cultural transformation
Leads kaizen events, acting as an advisor to facilitate troubleshooting and resolving complex problems within Project Execution functions across the North American offices
Supports a corporate-wide lean culture by engaging stakeholders outside of Project Execution
Enables, Fosters, and Mentors by applying process innovation, process excellence, lean principles and tools
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, and/or Business preferred
Minimum 5 years of process improvement/continuous improvement experience; 10+ years preferred
Experience in establishing and sustaining an effective KPI-driven operating / executional cadence
Experience in the selection, development and analysis of performance metrics
Advanced knowledge and demonstrated ability in the application of concepts, practices, and procedures of Lean/Six Sigma (LSS/SS Black Belt required)
Experience developing and driving six sigma control plans
SAFe certification preferred
Experience with designing products or processes (DFSS and/or Design Thinking desired)
Exceptional team building skills desired
Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority
People management skills and experience desired
Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt certification
