The Martime Safety Office (SFH) seeks the contractor to collect, process, and perform data analysis and deliver data driven solutions to quantitatively improve the mission areas of Maritime Features, Surfaces, Publications, Events, Dissemination, Source Assessment, and Metrics.
Currently, ManTech is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist to join our team in Springfield, VA!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Develops and maintains geographical information systems databases, applications, and tools.
+ Compiles geospatial data, conducts analysis, develops models, and produces maps and reports.
+ Maintains and refines existing map databases to reflect the latest data.
+ Extract imagery from all available imagery platforms and access methods.
+ Produce orthorectified images in support of all SFH products (such as DNC, ENC, CPENC, LPC, DWC, NtM) and ad-hoc requests.
+ Evaluate orthorectified images to the highest quality, accuracy, and consistency possible.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Must have a minimum or 10 years of overall experience. Of the 10 years of experience, the below are required:
+ Minimum of 5 years demonstrated programming skills with the ability to write / maintain scripts, including Python and JAVA scripts.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science, including the areas of data services, modeling, and analytics.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience performing geospatial data management including data type conversion; coordinate systems (latitude and longitude, UTM) and their conversions; and knowledge of projections and their properties / conversions.
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience using Tableau or equivalent Business Intelligence (Bl) Software (SW) and associated server functions.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience performing geospatial data management including data type conversion; coordinate systems (latitude and longitude, UTM) and their conversions; and knowledge of projections and their properties / conversion
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience using Tableau or equivalent Business Intelligence (Bl) Software (SW) and associated server functions.
+ Knowledge and experience using version control tools such as Git.
+ Proficient with ESRI Workflow Manager WMX and TAM.
+ Experience with artificial intelligence, natural language processing, machine-to-machine learning, and NoSQL including document and graph schemas, ontologies, OWL, and data base inferencing.
+ Experience constructing data processing pipelines using authoritative sources and apply machine learning techniques, including predictive and prescriptive models, to produce optimization metrics for short- and long-term production planning.
+ Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience working geospatial data in a muli-user enterprise environment.
+ Experience analyzing data from ground surveys, reports, aerial photographs, and satellite images to prepare topographic maps and aerial photograph mosaics.
+ Experience preparing and altering trace maps, charts, tables, detailed drawings, and three-dimensional optical models of terrain using stereoscopic plotting and computer graphics equipment.
+ Experience evaluating commercial imagery products for accuracy.
+ Ability to collect data from rasterized sources including the proper rectifying of the source if so required.
+ Ability to use imagery for the purposes of nautical chart compilation.
+ Knowledge of geospatial database content management.
Clearance Requirements:
+ Must have an active TS/SCI.
Physical Requirements:
+ The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
