Process Operator
Job Description
The Process Operator is responsible for the safe and quality operation of the Wet Tower, Saw, Forms, and Finishing processes. This role involves meeting production goals by making appropriate decisions on process parameters, performing daily startups and shutdowns, and identifying ways to improve operations.
Responsibilities
+ Perform daily startup and shutdown of the processes and complete appropriate process checklists.
+ Complete process calibrations with the Process Support Coordinator.
+ Set up, operate, and monitor the Saw and Wet Tower process from the PLC, controlling all equipment, flow, speeds, amounts, chemicals, etc., to make engineered blocks.
+ Work from station setups outside of the tower, desk, and computer to control processes, record data, and make necessary adjustments.
+ Make various adjustments to the program/process throughout the 10-hour shift to ensure product quality standards are met.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2-year Technical College Degree OR 5 years of experience running a continuous or batch process operation through computer-controlled systems.
+ Basic math and reading skills.
+ Ability to read manufacturing specifications, process control charts, and graphs.
+ Mechanical/PLC aptitude.
+ Proficiency in manipulating Outlook email and data entry.
+ Knowledge of electro-mechanical process systems/equipment and controls.
+ Working knowledge of computer applications used to maintain inventory (MRP, Access Database, etc.).
