Process Specialist at Gus Perdikakis Associates

Our engineering services client who supports multi-discipline projects for a variety of consumer product companies in the CPG, Food, Beverage, and Pulp and Paper markets is currently seeking a Process Safety Specialist/Process Designer . This position will be working out of their clients manufacturing faciliity in the Bear River City, UT area.

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of P&ID's and Process flow diagrams related to process systems
  Ability to gain client manufacturing customers Process Safety certification
  Ability to work independently and interface with customer contacts in a professional manner on a regular basis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent technical experience
• Current certification to perform process safety studies with manufacturing client
• 5+ years of process/piping design for industrial projects

Preferred previous experience with the following is advantageous:

• Creating and modifying P&IDs and PFDs
• Designing in 2D and 3D modeling software (AutoCAD MEP, Plant 3D, Revit)
• Paper industry projects
• HVAC ductwork design
• Developing Bill of Materials
• Construction support for an industrial environment
• Executing process/piping design projects according to ISA (Instrument Society of America) standards for P&IDs and PFDs
• Preparing design packages using AutoCAD and 3D modeling software
• Taking field dimensions, gathering equipment information, measuring equipment, preparing sketches, and developing piping isometrics
• Preparing engineering documentation for construction activities
