Process Technician
Job Purpose:
Process Technician: Performs technical tests and experiments for process engineering within R&D. Performs set up of processing equipment. Monitors, audits and provides guidance to line operators. Processes test runs and prepares records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products. Provide technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
Job Duties:
- Thermal profiling of PCB’s through Reflow, Wave and Selective soldering processes
- Run monthly validation of equipment
- Provide technical support to all projects, perform root cause analysis and work to reduce any defects
- Develop and provide support to the processes development and to improve processes that already exist
- Monitor all processes with the goal of resolving any issues in a timely manner, reducing downtime
- Coordinate with the teams at all times, maintaining clear and open lines of communication
- Analyze all data and use the improve the processes of the work environment
- Maintain a database of pastes, fluxes, recipes and profiles
- Work and maintain CMMS system management
- Programming SMT, Wave, Selective, Thru hole, Press fit and Conformal Coating machinery
- Handle all chemical request and evaluations
- Repair and maintain equipment
- Duties as assigned by management
- Ability to walk, stand, sit and bend for long periods of time
Education and Experience:
- Associate's Degree 2 year Technical Degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in both team environment and able to be self directed
- Results and Quality Oriented
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
