Process Technician - PrideStaff

We are currently seeking a skilled   Process Technician  to join our team for a Manufacturing client in  Belmont, NC. 

The Process Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring the production process, troubleshooting equipment issues, performing quality checks, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Process Technician is also responsible for improving the production process, as well as training and mentoring other technicians. 

Location: Belmont, NC 28012 

Schedule: 1st Shift - 7:00 AM - 3:00PM

Pay Rate: $22-28/hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support and coordinate the development and implementation of extrusion processes and related quality activities on new and existing product grades.
• Provide responsive support to the manufacturing operations. 
• Maintain and communicate general knowledge of material properties and extrusion techniques across departmental functions. 
• Ensure all documentation is properly approved, correct, concise and clear. 
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts, corrective action formulation, and root-cause investigation. 
• Assist in the development of new employees with training and coaching opportunities. 
• Develop process documents and instructions. 
• Coordinate material, machine, and lab functions for processing trials. 
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned. 

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Plastic processing and extrusion knowledge 
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures

RECOMMENDED SKILLS

• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices
