Purpose:
The Plant Manager is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the plant including the scheduling of equipment and process areas through direct reports, coordinating vendors, and projecting and establishing preventative maintenance programs and schedules while partnering with the maintenance staff to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and operational.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local and federal food safety standards. Following USDA inspectors, HAACP, and SSOP's standards.
- Work closely with the sales and plant operations team in the areas of quality management, inspection coordination, and testing requirements.
- Develop plant goals and work with and through work associates to achieve results; Assist with the delivery of company competence regarding the production of consistent and measurably higher quality products.
- Ability and desire to provide top-notch leadership; Maintain a team environment among department and supervisory staff; Resolve any concerns voiced by employees.

- Completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual audits and associated reporting as required.
- Find ways to reduce production costs; Understanding of financial reports, budgetary methods, and forecasting.
Skills:
- Industrial, chemical, or related engineer. Desirable mastery in quality.
- Special specifications: 5+ years of experience in a significant leadership role. Experience in management handling; training and development.
- SQF and HACCP certifications.
- Bi-lingual (preferred).
- Managed, punctual, numeric, planning and process monitoring, self-directed.
Technical knowledge of quality and food safety.
