- Working knowledge in manufacturing and quality processes and procedures.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift/move 30 lbs. (may not exceed per EHS policies).
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work in extreme hot environment.
- Able to use a respirator occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions and policies and procedures.
- Must be able to monitor furnace and verify instrumentation.
- Should be familiar with furnaces, generators and auxiliary equipment. Understand the procedures of loading, timing, heating and quenching.

The salary range for this position is $19.00 to $21.04.Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Processing Technician in our Fullerton, CA site. HFS is a business unit of Howmet Aerospace, headquartered in Torrance, California. We hold the number one global position in aerospace fastening systems, and we're the North American leader in commercial transportation fasteners. Our high-tech, multi-material fastening systems are found nose to tail on aircraft and aerospace engines. Our products are also critical components of industrial gas turbines, automobiles, commercial transportation vehicles, and construction and industrial equipment.
R esponsible for set-up, operation, and maintenance of miscellaneous plating machines, processing of parts, meeting print, and specification requirements and/or work with heat treat equipment in an aerospace function.
- Process parts to meet Government, Manufacturing and Environmental Specifications
- Clean parts free of oil and grease per departmental specifications
- Ensure parts are clean prior to chemical immersion
- Sort parts to separate media, defected parts, FOD and uniformity
- Paint, Dip, Hand blast and Tumble parts.
- Strip all coatings from OD/ID of parts
- Olive drab chromate with color or clear after CAD Plate
- Machine required to use; Hand Blast, Auto Blast, Tumble DeBurr, Jenfab, Hoist, and Spin Dryer, lube booth equipment
- Use proper heat treat scheduling to ensure proper sequence for product through heat-treating cycles.
- Load and unload furnaces.
- Responsible for heat treat process, furnace accuracy, and uniformity surveys.
- Work with the computer to analyze the furnace charting program data being generated by each furnace.
- Complete all required paperwork including furnace maps, furnace charts, work orders and travelers, maintaining all required standards.
