Location: FishHawk (Partially Remote)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)
- Remote Schedule: Primarily remote with one day in the office per week (Thursdays), though this may evolve as business needs change.
Contract Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension based on performance and project needs)
Compensation: $22.14 per hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to join the dynamic Procurement and Shared Services teams. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the efficient procurement process, ensuring the timely and accurate management of purchase requisitions, and fostering seamless communication with vendors and internal teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a leading organization while working in a collaborative, partially remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Management: Convert purchase requisitions into orders, ensuring precision, compliance, and timely execution.
- Vendor & Warehouse Liaison: Maintain clear and effective communication with vendors and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) warehouses, ensuring smooth workflows and resolving any issues that arise.
- Data Maintenance: Regularly update and manage procurement-related data within internal systems to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Project Support: Provide valuable assistance on a variety of projects, supporting the NASS Procurement Supervisor in driving key initiatives and process improvements.
- Purchase Order Creation: Develop and maintain purchase orders for tactical purchases, ensuring all relevant procedures and protocols are followed.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all procurement activities meet established company guidelines, maintaining proper documentation and verifying all requirements for issuing purchase orders (POs).
- Contract & Catalog Procurement: Efficiently procure items from price contracts and punch-out catalogs, verifying accuracy and pricing.
- Inventory Management: Verify master item catalogs and determine the need for additional stock requests, ensuring inventory aligns with operational demands.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement systems and software, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team, displaying initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Previous experience in procurement or a related field is preferred but not required.
