About the Job
Position Overview:
We're looking for a skilled and resourceful Procurement Associate to join our team. The Procurement Associate will be responsible for sourcing high-quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) gloves and vests that we will purchase and resell to our clients.This role requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the supply chain, and the ability to maintain relationships with vendors to ensure that we secure the best products at competitive prices.
Key Responsibilities:
·Identify and source PPE gloves and vests from reliable suppliers that meet quality and safety standards.
·Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent and reliable supply of products. Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
·Monitor stock levels to ensure PPE items are available to meet client demand. Work closely with the inventory team to forecast future needs based on client orders.
·Ensure that all sourced PPE meets regulatory and safety standards. Work with suppliers to resolve any quality issues promptly.
·Negotiate cost-effective deals while maintaining quality. Ensure that all procurement activities align with budgetary constraints and financial goals.
·Coordinate with the logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of PPE items to warehouse for resale to clients.
·Stay up-to-date with market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new PPE products. Identify opportunities to improve sourcing strategies and bring in innovative products for clients.
·Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions, including purchase orders, vendor contracts, and delivery receipts. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
·Regularly evaluate supplier performance in terms of product quality, delivery reliability, and overall service. Make recommendations for changes or improvements when necessary.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
·2-4 years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably in the PPE or safety equipment industry.
·Strong ability to negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals.
·Ability to analyze product trends, supplier performance, and pricing data to make informed procurement decisions.
·High level of accuracy when managing inventory levels, placing orders, and assessing product quality.
·Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple suppliers, orders, and timelines simultaneously.
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.
·Ability to quickly resolve issues related to product quality, delivery delays, or supplier performance.
·Familiarity with procurement and inventory management software is a plus.
