Procurement Contract Specialist at The Fountain Group

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­Procurement Contract Specialist for a prominent client of ours.  This position is located in ­­Atlanta, GA. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

• Pay: $25-28/hour to start! 

• Assignment Length: 6 months with possibility of extension or conversion based on performance & budget. 
• Shift: Monday-Friday, standard shift, 100% ONSITE
• Responsibilities include: 
  • The focus of this role is on procurement processes, supporting production planning and execution, and other supply chain activities. 
  • Issue, update, and monitor purchase orders to ensure accurate data and reporting. 
  • Communicate with vendors using email and phone to request delivery dates and current pricing. 
  • Resolve supply and delivery issues with suppliers by proactively finding solutions and stressing the urgency of deliveries to keep projects on schedule. 
  • Monitor purchasing group mailbox to capture data and transfer to ERP tool. 
  • Interface with multiple departments to complete work tasks and projects. 
  • Document and update job related work processes and procedures. 
  • Send large component quate packages out for bid to multiple suppliers. 
  • Receive, manage and organize returned information. 

Qualifications:

•  HS Diploma/GED REQUIRED. Some college or higher education preferred. 

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing/procurement and supporting technical operations environment.
• 3 years of related experience in RFQ processes
• Experience with ERP systems such as JDE or SAP in material management or production planning. 
• MS office proficiency including Pivot tables and VLOOKUPS
