Position Summary: The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the sourcing and purchasing of equipment, materials, and services needed for solar EPC projects. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in procurement within the renewable energy sector, a strong understanding of supply chain management, and the ability to foster and maintain strong vendor relationships. This position plays a crucial role in supporting project timelines and cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project requirements and company goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure optimal pricing and quality.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand to ensure project timelines are met.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Analyze procurement data and prepare regular reports on key performance metrics.
- Manage procurement budgets and track expenses to align with financial targets.
- Implement best practices in supply chain management and maintain records for auditing purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the renewable energy or construction sectors.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
- Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of solar project components and industry standards is highly preferred.
