S ummary
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing procurement and performance improvement in cost savings and service to meet customer requirements and support business demands for our multiple IFC Brands.
Responsibilities
- Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the Business across multiple brands.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the product and process flow. Be able to identify bottlenecks and lead root cause investigations to address and resolve issues that may hinder the smooth flow of materials and products through the supply chain.
- Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.
- Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company.
- Obtaining quotes, negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.
- Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.
- Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.
- Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
- Report savings in an analytical manner.
- Working in business ERP software to manage procurement records.
- Work collaboratively with customers and internal teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory. Implement strategies to reduce obsolescence and reduce carrying costs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain, utilizing data-driven insights to enhance scheduling decisions, improve process efficiency, and reduce lead times.
- Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
- Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production.
- Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages.
- Supervising purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Business, or related field required.
- +5 Years Procurement experience required.
- Inventory planning systems experience required.
- Position might require travel to various locations in the supply chain (<10>
- Lean Six Sigma / Operational Excellence experience preferred.
- APICS certification is preferred.
