About the Job
Description
This position will coordinate activities related to procuring goods and services for the company.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Procurement of materials, equipment and services
- Developing and executing purchasing strategies
- Negotiating with vendors on pricing and terms to ensure mutually beneficial relationships
- Coordinating with vendors & suppliers on scheduling of goods and services
- Work directly with the Project Managers for bid/job pricing
- Create, review and submit purchasing orders
- Troubleshoot discrepancies between issued purchase orders and invoices
Required Skill Set:
- Knowledge of procurement principals, strategies and best practies-ELECTRICAL OR RELATED
- High level understanding of industry terminology
- Proficiency with computers and working knowledge of MS Office Software
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent personal organizational and relationship skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
