PROCUREMENT MANAGER
As a Procurement Manager, you will be a crucial part of our team, securing high-quality materials and services to support our production operations. This role is essential to achieving our mission by developing efficient procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing costs to ensure timely availability of resources for Vessel products. This position is located on-site in York, PA.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THE ROLE
- Develop and lead procurement strategies that align with production timelines, focusing on sourcing high-quality materials and services.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating favorable terms and resolving any issues impacting supply availability or quality.
- Oversee contract negotiations, purchase orders, and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed of material availability, lead times, and price trends, developing contingency plans as necessary.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives while meeting quality and delivery expectations, contributing to overall budget goals.
- Work closely with production and logistics teams to align material procurement with manufacturing schedules and project deadlines.
- Track and report on key procurement metrics, driving continuous improvement in the procurement process and supplier performance.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field; CPM, CPSM, or APICS certification preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally in manufacturing or construction.
- Proven track record in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
- Experience with ERP systems for procurement tracking and purchase order management.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across departments.
Base salary of $80,000 annually, with additional forms of compensation like equity and bonuses included in the total package.
