Position Details:Work Environment:

What You'll Learn:
- How to research and select fabrics, trims, and textile technologies that adhere to the high standards of the DTC brands
- How to conduct market, user and trend research
- How to ideate and develop new styles across multiple categories
- How to prepare necessary visual tools (i.e. sketches, presentation boards, fabric swatches, color standards, sample racks etc.) for meetings
- How to build relevant seasonal information in PLM software and maintain (ex: updating bills of materials, prototype requests, and construction details)
- How to create detailed tech packs that communicate clear and concise design intent (ex: sketches, technical illustrations, BOMs, colorway minibodies)
- How to assist with lab dip, trim, strike-off comments, and organization of approval records
- How to build seasonal color palette chipboards
- How to attend seasonal competitive shopping trips to Madison & Milwaukee
- How to provide constructive feedback on design intent and silhouette in fittings
- How to work on various styles within a category
o Apparel: Knit tops/bottoms, sweaters, woven tops/bottoms, first layer, and outerwear
o Non-Apparel: Bags, leathergoods, soft accessories, and cold weather accessories
What We’re Looking For:
- A current undergraduate student of apparel design, product design, industrial design or similar program
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
- Knowledge of basic garment, bag and/or accessories construction; and basic fit analysis skills
- Strong digital sketching and CAD abilities
- A roll-up-your sleeves kind of work ethic
- A passion for sharing ideas and being a hands-on team member
- The ability to complete projects with cross-functional partners
- The ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
- The ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong time management skills
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention-to-detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
