Product Designer Responsibilities:

1. Design digital user interfaces, create graphics, and design new experiences or layouts that evolve and/or define visual systems for web and app-based applications and technologies with a focus on generating new visual language.

2. Take broad, conceptual ideas and create design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant for supported platforms.

3. Drive partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content strategists to oversee user experience of a product from conception to launch.

4. Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Meta products.

5. Give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorship.

6. Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

7. Clearly and succinctly articulate goals and concepts when representing work to broader product team and other leaders.

8. Work individually and in teams to drive innovative product development and roadmapping.

9. Conduct internal and external analysis and make informed strategic design decisions by integrating engineering, business, and design considerations.

10. Leverage user research theory and methods to partner with user researchers and build research plans to validate concepts.

11. Drive product development process and utilize multi-disciplinary methodologies to discover and define problems, explore solutions, validate concepts, and realize ideas.

12. Explore the landscape and gaps across our product ecosystem

14. Advocate for the user experience and drive strategy based on user data.

15. Adapt to new technologies while understanding engineering constraints when shaping solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

17. Requires a Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a computer related occupation. Requires three years of experience in the following:

18. 1. Building and shipping applications or software at company-level scale

19. 2. Interaction design, including defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs

20. 3. Prototyping

21. 4. Visual design, including typography, desktop or mobile user interface, color, layout, and iconography

22. 5. Understanding product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to internal and external users

23. 6. Creating user flow and mockups to articulate design concepts

24. 7. Defining product specifications and user experiences

25. 8. Leading end to end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes

26. 9. Partnering with cross-functional partners to drive product strategy with a user-centric approach leveraging design thinking methodologies and best practices.

Public Compensation:

$199,430/year to $223,850/year + bonus + equity + benefits
