About the Job
Our client, an innovative local manufacturer of cleaning equipment that focuses on tackling the toughest cleaning challenges, is seeking a strong Product Development Engineer. This role is a chance to learn their industry and development/design processes full time and on-site in Hamilton, OH. Talent that has experience in manufacturing with the ability to work with all manufacturing teams/all levels from concept to functioning product is ideal.
- Degreed BSMET or BSME with 7+ years of experience in:
- Component and Full system Mechanical Design
- Prefer 7+ years of 3D proficiency including free-form surface design utilizing NX, Creo, Solid Edge & preferably Solid Works.
- Demonstrated design experience in:
- plastic injection, rotational, blow, extrusion
- sheet metal
- Component and system level (sub/master assembly)
- Worked in:
- Consumer Products
- Medical Device
- Automotive
- Ancillary experience (any depth):
- Project Management (schedule creation and management)
- Cross functional engagement with:
- Quality
- Supply Chain
- Sales
- Manufacturing
- Practitioner or Some experience in:
- DFM - Design for Manufacturing
- FMEA - Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
- Simulation (fea/cfd) - Finite Element Analysis/Computational Fluid Dynamics
- BOM development
- ECN/ECO/ECR - ECN (Engineering Change Notice) / ECO (Engineering Change Order) System / ECR (Engineering Change Request)
- Stage Gate
- Process development and Continuous Improvement
- DOE (design of experiments)
- Product Life Cycle development
- Root Cause Analysis
- Portfolio:
- Should include project work supporting the above.
