Compensation $140,000 - $185,000 Per Year + Bonus- PAID RELOCATIONOur client is seeking a dedicated and passionate Product Development Specialist to join their dynamic team reporting directly to the Senior Technical Manager. The primary objective of this role is to drive innovation and product development in the field of coating formulations for beverage applications. This role requires a unique blend of scientific acumen, mechanical aptitude, and a deep commitment to innovation. You will work in collaboration with our product development chemists, application, and technical service teams to develop top-notch coatings for beverage applications.Responsibilities:Collaborate with product development chemists to create and optimize coating formulations for beverage applications.Provide technical assistance to customers and internal teams, resolving coating issues as they arise.Analyze experimental data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.Travel to customer locations to understand their business and application processes and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Lead the development of new products, adhering to specific timelines and achieving key milestones.Understand and improve the product manufacturing process to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with various functions within the organization. Collaborate with product development chemists to create and optimize coating formulations for beverage applications.QualificationsA Master’s degree or a PhD in chemistry or engineering.A minimum of 8 years of professional experience specifically in coatings formulationDemonstrated mechanical skills and the ability to operate laboratory equipmentA proven track record in the development of new products, with the ability to adhere to specific timelinesWillingness to travel 10% of the time to learn application expertise from our equipment suppliers, customers, and trade showsThis role can sit full-time (Cincinnati) or we can offer a 4-day on-site work week to a candidate who chooses not to relocateExtensive knowledge and experience in spray application processes, particularly air-less spray techniques (preferred not required)Type: direct hire
