Role Overview

To manage all aspects of product development, sourcing, and procurement to ensure that we are delivering superior value to our customers and closely manage our licensor relationships, with a laser focus on overall profitability.

Product Development & Sourcing Manager Responsibilities:

• Maintain, manage, and execute a detailed product and packaging costing and specification repository across our category and factory base to ensure that we can effectively monitor, manage, and negotiate our costing model on a continuous basis.
• Work closely with our production, licensing, planning and merchant teams to ensure our internal systems and databases are updated and accurate on an ongoing basis.
• Partners with internal team, as well as our customer base, for sample and packaging approvals in a timely manner
• Tracks and manages information and updates to ensure all parties are informed and working towards a common goal.
• Attends customer development meetings and competitive reviews to record and assess product development opportunities for all categories and brands.
• Works closely with our licensing, production, and design teams towards executing the identified products and/or categories.
• Overseas and domestic travel as necessary, to attend trade shows, product fairs and on-site factory visits.
• Maintains showroom merchandising and office sample management and organization
• Shop the market to find white space and opportunities for new products based on customer needs
• Work closely with the merchant and product development team to ensure vision of product is achieved during the sourcing and production process
• Provide competitive market analysis and manage seasonal industry trend recaps to ensure the product offering is aligned with trends in the market
• Analyze business needs and develop and implement global sourcing strategies for assigned categories

Product Development & Sourcing Manager Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience of product development and sourcing in kitchen/home accessories
• 2+ of those years in licensing
• Stay up to date on the latest trends and strategies in sourcing and production
• Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency
