Lead a team across the US and Canada to drive the launch of digital onboarding solutions for small business payments customers. Drive meaningful business impact by transforming the experience of becoming a Chase Payment Solutions customer for both digital opening flows from our US and Canadian websites and via sales-assisted digital boarding. Partner directly with a strategic external partner in Canada to support their delivery of a custom, integrated onboarding flow for merchant services accounts.
As a Product Director in the small business payments team, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.
The Small & Medium-Sized Business Organization (SMB Payments) is part of global JP Morgan Payments organization and is an innovative leader in serving small and medium-size business clients through banking, payments, and value-added services. Job responsibilities
- Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
- Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
- Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
- Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
- Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation
- Manages both self-serve and sales-assisted digital onboarding channels across the US and Canadian regions
- Serves as the product leader partnering directly with a strategic external banking partner in Canada, ensuring the successful launch of their custom digital onboarding solution
- Partners closely with Chase Business Banking partners to drive a more seamless onboarding experience for merchant clients with a Chase banking relationship
- Collaborates with sales, marketing, risk, and commercialization to ensure the product experience addresses internal stakeholder needs
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
- Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
- A creative innovator with the ability to define business tradeoffs and value; generate out-of-the-box solutions, and cut through ambiguity to drive results.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility across lines of business and functions, work well in cross-functional teams, and influence key stakeholders.
- Rigorous, structured thinker with the ability to identify and articulate rationale, assumptions, and risks, and solutions.
- A passion for customer research, product fidelity and driving compelling user experiences.
- A strategic thought leader with a track record of driving change and proven problem solving leadership.
- Self-driven and organized with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute on multiple concurrent initiatives.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Recognized thought leader within a related field
- Payments and/or financial services industry experience
- Prior experience building capabilities that serve the small business segment
